Free AutoCAD Demo Class
Looking for a free AutoCAD course? Our free demo class lets you see a live class, meet a trainer and try a few commands before you spend anything. We use the word "free" for the demo and for useful learning material, and we say plainly that the full course is paid.
What happens in the demo class
- The counsellor asks your goal, qualification and timings.
- A trainer shows the AutoCAD screen and draws a small plan with you.
- You try commands and ask doubts.
- You receive the course outline, fees and batch timings.
Free AutoCAD learning options
If you want to learn on your own first, these are legitimate starting points: the Autodesk Education programme for a student licence, and Autodesk’s official AutoCAD help. Self-learning works for commands. Live feedback works better for habits.
Who should attend
Students, job seekers and professionals who are deciding between courses. Read the AutoCAD course details and the fees guide first if you like.
How to get the most from your demo
A demo class is short, so a little preparation makes it much more useful. Decide what you want to learn from it, and arrive with a real question.
- Install AutoCAD beforehand if you can, so you can follow along instead of only watching.
- Decide your goal: a job, an internship, a college project or a skill upgrade. The trainer will pitch examples accordingly.
- Bring a real problem, even a small one, such as a drawing that prints at the wrong scale.
- Note your timings so the counsellor can suggest a batch.
- Keep a notebook for questions about fees, hours and projects.
What you will see in the class
The trainer starts by asking about your background, then opens AutoCAD and draws a small plan with you. You will see how typed lengths work, why snaps matter, how offset and trim build walls and how a layer changes what prints. Finally the trainer shows how a drawing becomes a PDF at the right scale. You will not be asked to pay or sign anything during the class.
Signs of a good class, and of a poor one
| Good sign | Warning sign |
|---|---|
| The trainer draws live and explains why | Only slides or a recorded video |
| Your questions are answered clearly | Questions are postponed |
| The counsellor shares fees and hours in writing | Pressure to pay today |
| Projects and feedback are explained | Only certificate promises |
After the demo
You will receive the course outline, the fee, the number of live hours and the batch timings. Take time to compare, read the refund policy and the syllabus, and ask any follow-up questions. There is no obligation to join.
Free resources while you decide
If you want to try the software before deciding, use Autodesk's trial or education access and follow the beginner guide on this site, AutoCAD tutorial for beginners. Draw one small room and bring it to the demo, so the trainer can show you what to improve. Our post on what happens in a free demo class has more detail.
